Jay Acovone, Jay BrazEAU, AND tONY aMENDOLA
Their panel was just supposed to be Jay A. and Tony but for some reason Jay B. got added to it which made it even more fun. These guys played off each other well and had alot of laughs. I'm not sure if Jay B. is a con virgin or not but he seemed to do quite well answering questions, he even had us all standing and doing the "comtrya" (sp?) thing with him, it was great. It was really funny when Tony couldn't get the finger thing right, the way you hold your hands when you bow at the end, it was hysterical. Anyway, I don't remember if he got asked the boxers or briefs question, but I'm pretty sure all the newbies got asked it, and most told us if not showed us. That's some of the fun of cons, you know this is something you'll never see anywhere else. So, onto the panel.
The line-up was left to right, Tony, Jay B. and Jay A..
They play Bra'tac, Harlan, and Lt. Charlie Kawalski, great guys. I love how Jay shows his New York pride with the t-shirt. Wonder if he's a fan of the Yankees? That's my dad's team, even though we lived in Allentown, Pa, our relatives were all in NY, so we got into them along with the family. I remember going to Yankee stadium when I was young for a game, wow, it was big, but then I was really small too, hehe. You couldn't beat the food in New York, or Philly for that matter, I miss that being out here in Washington.
So many laughs, and great big smiles, I really loved seeing that. Jay A. seemed to have a great time, he was kidded alot and did a great job of making us feel bad for him and his job situation. He's a great sport and a really funny guy. I hope things pick up for him, for such a great actor he should have to be refusing offers left and right, but that's the biz I guess. I know we'll be seeing his face all over the place sooner than we think.
Allan shows up to put his online questions to the panel, and as usual the fans moan.
I just loved the last picture, the hand placement of each guy just kills me, I think it's a great picture. I wish I knew what was so funny, Allan's really laughing too.
Ok, the different colored ones are Robin's.
This is when Virginia Hey joined them on stage, she's from Farscape, the blue bald chick. I guess she got killed off last year or something and she's had a chance to grow back some of her hair, the rest is extensions. I've never watched the show but it did look interesting. She said she liked guys with big bellies. Jay B. liked that.
Jay A., ever the gentleman, gave her his chair. She added some needed feminine flavor to the weekend, we were poorly represented at the con, and I'm glad she came.
Got the group shot. I all of a sudden got the nickname Kimmie from Jay, so when he and JR signed it they made it out to Kimmie, although the spellings varied.JR said he sometimes calls his sister Kimmy. Too bad I couldn't get Alexis to sign that one too then it'd be complete. Notice the Stargate t-shirt, got lots of comments on that one and my other one from the movie, collectors items for sure. We got 3 shots taken of us one for Robin, one for me and one mistake, someone wasn't ready. The shot of Jay and I was great, but I was talking, I have a habit of doing that alot, and Richard's very quick on the draw with his camera. You gotta pose quick or else!!!
This is an older shot of Jay, I really liked it and had him sign it, but you can't see it. He signed it in the dark part in black, it says, Kimmie, Love Ya! and he signed it. I think this might be from his Beauty and the Beast days, not sure.
