Saturday Page 2
After lunch we had the Charity Auction and since I had no money I just spent my time out in the main hall chatting with the other guests. When they started the panels again I went in and got ready for Roxann Dawson and Robbie Duncan McNeil, they played Torres and Paris on Voyager. Here's a few pictures of the fun.
Ok, these 2 really got along so well it was amazing. After working together all that time you'd think they'd be sick of each other. But no, they seemed the best of friends and made the panel unforgettable. We laughed, they laughed, the audience was in tears several times. Robbie had Roxann in tears a few times too, she has the best laugh, and it was so funny when she started complaining about him making her mess up her makeup, just like an old married couple. Huh. :)
The Borg have entered the building!!!!!
Then Jeffrey Combs shows up and brings the house down with his antics. They were auctioning off a few personal items for their charities.
They did autographs right after the panel, I just loved how Robbie smiled for me. They moved the people through the lines super fast so you were lucky if you got to say "HI" to the guests as they signed you stuff for ya.
After that was over I was ready for food. We had a break for dinner before they started the evening's festivities which included a theatrical play by Marc Alaimo, Casey Biggs and Jeffrey Combs called, "What Shakespeare Left Behind". It was a bunch of bits from some of his best plays. The guys stunned me, they were fantastic, I had no idea they could be that good. They were also silly too, having the guys play the women's roles as well and even dressing the part!!!! I was totally enthralled by them and wished it could have gone on. But then we were also privileged enough to get to see Robbie and Roxann do a bit from the play, "Love Letters". Ok, I gotta tell ya, these people really know how to do it. I laughed, I actually cried at the end, which totally messed up my makeup for the rest of the evening, but it was worth every moment. They did an excellent job and I was so glad I stayed for the whole thing. After that was over they had a cocktail party up in one of the lounges in the hotel. I was told all the guests were invited but didn't expect to see any of them. Well, Martin Rayner, one of the guys I had gotten to know pretty well came and sat with us. Us being the girl that was sitting next to me, Catherine, Cat for short. Then I saw Marc, Casey and Jeffrey walk in and thought there was hope yet!!! I saw they had drinks and snacks and were looking for somewhere to sit. I said to Cat "Wouldn't it be nice if they joined us, they could sit right here", I pointed to them and then pointed to the 3 empty seats in front of us. And within a few seconds, they were walking towards us and looking around and pretending to try to find a nice place to sit. Well, I couldn't let them wander around looking lost so I invited them to join us, and they did. They introduced themselves, which I thought was cute, and we introduced ourselves and went on to enjoy the evening, eating, drinking, dancing and talking. I have to say it was interesting, they were hilarious, especially after a few drinks and Marc and Casey actually danced very well too, the wonders never cease. :) I never thought I'd be seeing Gul Dukat dancing to disco!!!!!!!!!
Well, as the night drew to an end we said good night and I went home with very fond memories of the day. I think I was still floating from meeting James, and then all the other wonderful stuff that happened, what a day!
So, now we can move on to Sunday.
