Nassau continued...

So, we sat on the beach then went for a walk around the hotel. The hotel is located on it's own little island, it's very cool. There is basically a river that runs all the way around it with all these different pools of sea life in them, it's incredible. There's also a river for water rides, like tubing and swimming and hot tubs too, it's just huge!!! I liked the animals, spent a long time watching them and getting pictures. There are fish, hammerhead sharks and other sharks in this pool.

These sharks had their own pool, I think they're nurse sharks. The guys kept trying to touch them, one finally did, it was hysterical, they were all trying to push each other in and stuff, MEN!! The last pic is the one he touched, it kept coming up to us like it wanted us to pet it or bite us, either way, it was funny.

There were all kind of beautiful flowers all over, here's just one I liked. Next up was a pool of stingrays, a few different kinds were together. Then a pool of green sea turtles.

This turtle was coming up to say "Hi" to us, I think it must have been close to feeding time or something the way they all kept coming over to us. The next group of pictures are from a walking tour you can take to see underwater of a bunch of tanks with lots of fish and stuff in them, it's like an aquarium type of thing. It was hard to get great color in the pictures but some came out ok. I love this stingray, looks like he's flying.

He flew right by me, there's one behind him too, they are so cool to watch. I love the way they swim. the black fish was cool, he was pretty much flat and only used his fins to swim with. The last pic is 3 sawfish, it's hard to see the one in the back. The largest is about 10 feet long. They were very cool, don't think I've ever seen one of those.

It's jaws!!!! The purple fish in the center was gorgeous, wish the color came out better, he was just brilliant. The yellow guys are radiant too, they almost glow yellow.

This is one big freakin fish, about 400 pounds, it's a Goliath fish, they of course live a very long time and get very big. It's hard to tell from the picture but believe me I was right at the glass and he was really big!!! I caught this heron trying to fish out on top of the ponds, sneaky devil. That's a shot of the newest part of the hotel, and a man made inlet and beach they just finished. The pools of fish we had seen were connected to this bathing area, they were of course all blocked off so the fish can't get out but still, it's weird, I don't know if I'd swim in there.

A shot of the front of the hotel from the end of the island. It's just huge. The middle part that arches between the two sides is actually 1 room, it rents for like 100,000 a night or something, it's insane. The water you see in front is all part of the aquarium we saw from under the water level. There was also a tunnel where you actually walk under the water and get to look up at the fish swimming above you, I thought that was cool. That building with the shells on the roof is where we came up from the underwater stuff. It was a nice little sitting area and had info and stuff in it. I think there was even a snack bar or something too.
