We docked at Kahului, it's on the northern side, where the island narrows. We drove to Lahina for our tour that day.

Mom got up early and caught this double rainbow. She didn't wake me but I'm glad she got some pictures of it. I love rainbows, but I'm glad that the rain was over. You can barely see the second rainbow in the second picture.

So, when I finally did get up we went out on deck and started watching for whales. We were gonna try to meet up with a group that was gonna watch for them, but we took too long at breakfast. We actually saw lots of them on our own from the back of the boat. Mom and I got a few pics of each other being silly too. It was incredibly windy back there and it was all I could do to keep the video camera steady to get them on tape. I actually got some good stuff though. Got some jumping out of the water, got lots of humps and tails and blowholes. I even got some spinner dolphins too, that was cool, they were far away but in full zoom I could see them ok. I also got some shots of the islands as we went between Maui, Lana'i and Molokai.

The islands looked very cool with their rocky shores, deep green forested mountains and spectacular surf. Can you say windy???

We found this very cool picture on one of the stairwells, it was so real, we felt like we were under water.
