Friday 8th
Enoa Bus Tour of Oahu

Well, this was before the tour, after we ate breakfast. The view from the back of the hotel, pool area, beach, outdoor cafe, Diamondhead, and a neighboring hotel. They had a great buffet in the main restaurant, we ate there alot.

Then when we were waiting for the tour to come and get us a guy showed up with the birds and we got some pictures with them. We paid for him to take the pictures of course, but it was fun. He had this scarlet Macaw and a cockatoo too. It was hysterical the way he'd just lay there on his back in our hands.

The guy gave us the leis too and the parrot like them, ALOT!!! Here is a bronze statue/fountain of some green sea turtles at the front of the hotel.
And so it begins... The tour lasted about 81/2 hours, by the end I felt like Gilligan. Three hour tour my ass!!! We drove around the entire island, saw just about everything there was to see. Granted, it was a great tour, the guide, cousin Mark as we called him, was extremely knowledgeable, he made it fun and interesting, stopped at lots of places so we could get out and get pictures and stretch our legs, but wow, long, long tour. My advice, bring snacks and drinks, good shoes and money for stuff.

`This is Hanauma Bay, wonderful snorkeling spot, unfortunately the jellyfish had decided to take over the area so it was off limits until they went back out to sea. Kind of sucked cause mom had planned to go there the next day so we had to reschedule and do something else.

Halona lookout and blowhole. It was a small blowhole but still cool and a very pretty area all around. The last pic is the start of the beach they used in that movie "From Here To Eternity". Where the 2 actors make love on the beach with the waves crashing over them. AAAHHH, so romantic, and sandy.

Recognize it now??? That's the beach, looks different I'm sure but go and watch it again, I'll bet you can tell, it's small and surrounded by those high black rocks. The next two pics are of Makapu'u point and Rabbit Island or Manana island. There's a lighthouse at the end of the point.

That's the beach area at the point with the islands in back. Mom got a pic of me getting it all on video. Mark passed around a pic of the national fish, a trigger fish, Humu Humu Nuku Nuku Apua'a.

Mom and I got pictures of each other hangin' at the point.

That small flat island is where they shot most of Gilligan's Island. Really, that's what Mark said. He also showed us the marina at the beginning too. The middle is the Chinaman's Hat island, Mokoli'i. I'm not positive but I think that's a cool rock formation at Moku kukuiho'olua.

It was a very cool place off the beach in a residential area. There were also whales out in the distance, I only saw spouts from them getting air though.
