La Push Trip Cont'd....

Deer, deer and more deer.

Ok, elk too.

Deer and seagull flying by behind him, I think it's a him, anyway, good shot. We finally make it to La Push, set up camp and head to the beach. Ashlee loves to chase kites, so when Rod brought his out she went for it. Sometimes she bites them if they crash and she gets to it first which she always does, so we have to yell "NO" when they start to come down. She broke one of Rod's poles once, strong teeth.

She gets lots of exercise doing that. She also loves to dig in the sand and play with rocks. She's a spaz just like us. I guess it runs in the family. Here's our wonderful camp, we slept in the truck, Rod has it all set up for that. It wasn't the best weather but luckily we prepared for it and brought alot of warm clothes.

Sea stacks. The rocks out in the water, that's what you call them. At low tide you can go out and climb on them and see all the sea life that's growing on them like the sea anemones, starfish, crabs and other small things that hide in tide pools. We love to play with the anemones, it's so cool how they close up when you touch them. We collect nice shells and rocks too.

I don't think you can make it out to all of them, the farthest is too far out but they make for cool pictures. The Washington coast is beautiful. Rod was gonna go surfing with his kayak but the weather sucked and it's no fun freezing to death so we called it off and left early. We stopped at the Walmart in town, ate lunch, checked out a few antique shops then drove home.
That's it for that trip. Page 3 is our first trip to La Push.
